Carb loading isn’t just eating a giant bowl of pasta the night before your race. 🍝🏃♀️🏃 How much you actually need depends on your body weight, how long you’ll be racing and what your stomach handles well. A 5K runner usually doesn’t need a true carb load, while someone preparing for a half or full marathon may benefit from being much more intentional with carbs before race day. The goal is simple: show up fueled, not stuffed. Practice your nutrition during training, stick with foods you already know work for you and don’t wait until race weekend to experiment. Save this for your next race! 💪💙 Nutrition disclaimer: This post is for general educational purposes only. Individual carbohydrate and hydration needs vary.
