what cheeses are best to help you lose weight? yes really... let's talk about it. Cheese lover? You are going to love these snack ideas! Andrea Marcellus is a specialist in fitness, helping busy people lose 10 to 20 pounds in about six weeks. If you're stuck on your fitness journey, message me, tell me what's up. My top choice is mozzarella cheese. The fat in mozzarella cheese is more easily turned into energy than some other cheeses, like hard cheeses. So this is really, really fantastic. It's a great source of protein. And also any of these cheeses, dairy cheeses are whey protein, which is a complete amino acid profile. So, um, in terms of protein bioavailability, good stuff. These little, you know, mozzarella balls are a great snack idea for on the run that I give to a lot of clients. And I have them make like a mini antipasto in a container. So it's like maybe three of those and then give yourself 10 or 12 really good quality olives or something. And then some fresh red pepper or carrots or things, you know, and, uh, you'll get just a variety of antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, beneficial fats, protein, fiber, all the stuff we need in life. And it's delicious. Goat cheese is awesome. And just like mozzarella cheese, just more easily turned into energy. So you can kind of feel good about eating it. People who have issues with lactose, um, sheep's milk tends to be okay for them. So goat cheese and feta tend to be all right. Yeah, the thing about feta cheese is because it's cured and brined, it's higher in sodium. So if you're in perimenopause or menopause, feta can be kinda not your friend because we're always trying to flush fluid, you know, um, we're already retaining too much water. So anyway, goat cheese might be your friend instead. And there's all sorts of versatile recipes you can use goat cheese for. Cream cheese is interesting 'cause I mean, I like it, but here's the thing. This is like 7 grams of fat to 1 gram of protein, whereas something like mozzarella cheese is, um, 7 or 8 grams of fat to 5 grams of protein. I'm always looking at that ratio. That's how I determine which cheese would be better, right? So you're looking for lower in fat and higher in protein, like getting that number to be closer to 50/50. It's never going to be, but closer it is, the better, right? Brie is 10 grams of fat to 5 grams of protein. So mozzarella cheese beats it. So does goat cheese. But boy, do I love Brie. Hard cheeses are great in moderation, too. You've got moderate Jack, Cheddar's, and things like that. Just know that they're just not as easily turned into energy as something like mozzarella or one of the superstars is ricotta cheese. That is a great option. You know, everybody's on the cottage cheese kick. Well, can be higher in sodium. So ricotta cheese might be a great option to throw in your eggs or something like that. And certainly if you're making pancakes or anything like that, ricotta cheese in a pancake is absolutely fabulous.
