Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
merit just unveiled the uniform, their new tinted mineral sunscreen and I am freaking out about it. This launch is literally a textbook example of why storytelling sells stronger than anything else. If they were like any other makeup brand and just launch a tinted moisturizer or tinted sunscreen, it's nothing we haven't seen before, but it's how they presented it to us that makes feel something different. They started teasing a new launch when they started showcasing people in their uniforms and kind of also showing how a uniform in a way is timeless. It's something you can wear everyday and some video teasers where they kinda showed someone you know getting their dry cleaning, walking their dog. It's almost like they're kind of glamorizing the realness and the monotony of life. And because like the perfect white button down shirt, it's the details that make it the uniform, the thing you can wear every single day. And I also just want to say from a messaging perspective, this makes sense because this storyline is particular to this individual product, however their whole makeup you can live in messaging is relevant to their brand as a whole. So it's also just a great example of how you can use a campaign to tell a specific story and also can always nod back and tie back your core brand messaging. Let me know what you think about Merit's new launch from a brand strategist perspective. I really think this is genius and it's such a graceful and enticing way to introduce a new product that's not necessarily a new concept, but you get your consumer to think about it differently and feel differently.
