Why "Experts" Will Ruin Your Business. Stop blinding trusting "industry experts" with your business! The biggest mistake you can make as a founder is giving up your vision to people who have "30 years of experience." Kristin Cavallari learned the hard way that when she listened to the corporate experts, her products failed. When she trusted her own gut, she built a $50 Million brand. BUT BECAUSE I WAS WORKING WITH A TEAM OF PEOPLE, WELL ESTABLISHED COMPANY, THEY KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING, THEY'RE THE EXPERTS. AND I WOULD BEND SOMETIMES AND LISTEN TO WHAT THEY WANTED ME TO DO. THOSE SHOES NEVER PERFORMED. SO I GOT TO SEE VERY QUICKLY, I'VE GOT A REALLY GOOD HANDLE ON WHO MY GIRL IS. AND THAT IS INVALUABLE. AS YOU KNOW, BUT WHEN IT COMES TO ANYTHING THAT'S COMPANY MARKETING, PRODUCT, ANYTHING CUSTOMER FACING, HAVE ACTUALLY DON'T NEED THESE EXPERIENCE EXPERT. SAY, I WOULDN'T SAY I'M AN EXPERT, BUT I WOULD SAY I DO KNOW WHAT'S BEST FOR MY COMPANY AND FOUNDERS ATTEST BECAUSE SOMEONE HAS 30 YEARS EXPERIENCE DOESN'T MEAN THEY HAVE THE ANSWER. SO JENNIFER CAN YOURSELF TAKE IT IF YOU LAUNCH RIGHT INTERVIEW. SHE SAID, DO IT. REASON WITH, AND FOR SOME REASON, IT STUCK WITH ME.
