I love hacking the system and one of the ways I do that is through the use of credit card points and credit cards. My favorite credit card to recommend is the Chase Sapphire Preferred and right now it is at a 100,000 point sign-on bonus. And that is huge and it ends tomorrow. Credit cards can seem so overwhelming and I understand almost sounds counterintuitive that opening a credit card is a good financial decision, but for me it is. The Chase Sapphire Preferred specifically aligns really aligns with my spending habits. It has a $95 annual fee and you get anniversary points every year as well. 5x points on Chase travel, 3x points on dining, NEW 3x points on gas stations, EV charging stations at top brands, 3x points on top streaming and online grocery, exclusions apply. 2x points on all other travel and 1x points on all other purchases. So I'm getting points on gas, miscellaneous, I'm forgetting some, but you get the gist. So not only are you gaining the sign-on bonus points when you first get it, I always wait for those to be at a high point, you're also getting points throughout the month with your spending already. If you're already going to be spending $500 out, why not use your credit card to pay for it because now you're getting 3X that $500 statement, 1500 points away, free. I'm pretty picky about how I use my points as well. I'm able to maximize my points and my travel trips. Come on here and remind you guys that the 100,000 sign-on bonus is ending tomorrow. I have a referral link in my bio if you guys want to get the credit card before the sign-on bonus goes down. 100,000 points gets you around three to five round trip flights. If you've been wanting a good travel card or just a credit card in general, this is a good time to get it. It's my personal favorite one to recommend. With a $95 annual fee, it's a no-brainer. You get so many points back with your regular spending. If you've been thinking about it, do it now. Hope this helps. Bye!
