Hi, it's Juliana! They want planets, not partners. What do I mean? You know how a planet revolves around the sun? Well, narcissistic partners want you to revolve around them. Your: – Attention. – Time. – Energy. – Decisions. – Plans. They want it all to revolve around them. And one of the easiest ways to make that happen is by creating a crisis. Let's use this video as an example. You're doing some self-care on your day off. They could say: “I want you to stop what you're doing and pay attention to me.” But that's too honest. It would mean admitting that they expect your life to revolve around them. And as much as they pretend to not know right from wrong, they do. That's why they're often abusive behind closed doors but “perfect” in public. So instead, they create a crisis. Why? Because being in a crisis makes demanding you drop what you're doing and revolve around them seem reasonable.
