Hi, it's Juliana! I'm assuming the narcissistic person in your life has done something like this to you. I'm also assuming it's left you with questions like: – “How?” – “How are they capable of doing that to someone?” I'm going to try to answer them here. Two of the defining traits narcissistic people typically have are: 1.) Lack of empathy. Meaning they struggle to understand, share, or consider the feelings of other people. 2.) A sense of entitlement. Meaning they believe they're better than everyone and deserve special treatment. When you combine these two traits, it often causes them to think about what they want without really thinking about how getting it affects you. So in the video: They want to put something away. The storage compartment is under the laundry. So they lift the seat to put the thing away and leave. They don't stop and think: – “They just spent all that time folding this.” – “They're going to have to do it again.” – “That's going to make them feel disrespected.” Because their entitlement says: – “What I want matters most.” And they don't stop to consider what this will do to you, because their lack of empathy says: – “How this affects you doesn't matter enough to stop me.” If you need someone to talk to about all of this, you can always send me a DM or schedule a session with me. My team and I help people heal from narcissistic abuse, and many of us have experienced it ourselves, so we're here if you need us. To your healing, Juliana ❤️🩹
