Hi, it's Juliana! Anger is a motivating emotion. Its job is to motivate you to do something. When a healthy person gets angry, that anger might motivate them to: – Address the problem. – Protect themselves. – Set a boundary. – Communicate what bothered them. – Change the situation. This isn't always healthy. It can have unhealthy expressions like slamming doors or screaming. Nobody is perfect, especially when they're angry. But... Things don't keep escalating. They can recognize when they've crossed a line and take responsibility. And most importantly... The goal isn't to make you suffer because they're suffering. When a narcissistic person gets angry, that anger often motivates them to punish you. Said differently: It can make them think things like: “You hurt me, embarrassed me, frustrated me, rejected me, or didn't give me what I wanted... so now I want YOU to hurt.” And that's what you're seeing here. They aren't destroying the cookies because they're angry at the cookies. They're destroying them because: – You made them. – You're proud of them. – You spent time on them. – They matter to you. So destroying them gives the anger somewhere to go while making sure you feel the consequence. If you need someone to talk to about all of this, you can always send me a DM or schedule a session with me. My team and I help people heal from narcissistic abuse, and many of us have experienced it ourselves, so we're here if you need us. To your healing, Juliana ❤️🩹
