🍙🔥 CRAB & TUNA ONIGIRI 🦀🐟 This might be the perfect after-school snack or easy lunch that I don’t hear enough people talking about! 👀🙌 These little rice-packed snacks are loaded with a creamy, savory crab & tuna filling, wrapped in nori, and they’re perfect for meal prep! 🍙💯 🛒 INGREDIENTS 🍚 Sushi Rice • 2 cups sushi rice • 4 cups water • 2 tsp sesame oil • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar • 1 tsp sugar (optional) 🦀🐟 Crab & Tuna Filling • 16 oz imitation crab • 12 oz tuna fillets or canned tuna • ⅓ cup mayonnaise • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce • 2 tbsp Chin-Su Hot Sauce 🌶️ • 1 tbsp Chin-Su Fish Sauce • 1 tsp sesame oil • ¼ cup sliced scallions 🌱 👨🍳 LET’S MAKE IT! 🔥 1. Cook the tuna Season your tuna with salt, pepper, and garlic seasoning. Cook in the oven or air fryer for about 10–12 minutes, until the tuna reaches an internal temperature of 150°F. Let it cool for a few minutes, then crumble it up. 🦀 2. Make the filling In a large bowl, shred the imitation crab. Add the scallions, cooked tuna, mayonnaise, soy sauce, Chin-Su Hot Sauce, fish sauce, and sesame oil. Mix everything together really well. 🤤 ❄️ 3. Chill the filling Place the filling in the refrigerator for 30 minutes while you make the rice. This gives all those flavors a chance to come together! 🍚 4. Make the sushi rice Add the sushi rice and water to your rice cooker and cook on the white rice setting. Once fully cooked, transfer the rice to a large bowl and gently fold in the sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, and optional sugar. Let the rice cool enough to handle. 🍙 5. Build your onigiri Place a small amount of rice in the bottom of your onigiri mold and press it down. Add some of that delicious crab & tuna filling, then press it down again. Add a little more rice on top and press everything together firmly. 🙌 🌊 6. Wrap it up! Remove the onigiri from the mold and wrap each one with a half sheet of nori. Wrap individually in plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator for 3–4 days. #Onigiri #CrabOnigiri #TunaOnigiri #JapaneseFood #AsianInspired
