tracking my 10 year makeup progress

I think it's important to acknowledge progress in your makeup journey so here are things I did during this look that I never would have thought to do when I was first starting out. First to get that bright white I layered my eyeshadow on top of a liquid base which gives off way more intensity than if I just used the powder by itself. I also used multiple blending brushes with different sizes depending on where and what shades I was blending. When I was first starting out I definitely would have used the same blending brush for the whole look which would have made it a lot muddier. I also would have done my blush after I finished my eye look instead of before like I am here which definitely would have messed up some of the eyeliner. I do still have some room for improvement because if I was a pro about this, I would have used dotting tools for this step which would have made things a lot easier and resourceful. But I don't have dotting tools so I just freehanded these. What I do have are eyeliner and eyeshadow stick caps which I used to stamp on this liquid eyeshadow. It would have driven me crazy to freehand these so this method is super easy and resourceful. As a beginner I would have used a liquid liner to draw in these black lines, but the brush tips on those pen type liquid liners are meant to give you a sharp straight cat eye and they can't navigate curves as well, which is why I'm using a liner brush and gel eyeliner here. And when I was starting out with makeup, this would have been the end of the look because the lower lash line basically did not exist to me back then. Here I'm adding some eyeshadow and extending the eyeliner design because I feel like it really completes the look and adds some balance. These are things you don't notice until you really think about them and once you do, you realize how much progress you make and it really pushes you to move forward and improve more.
