If a chocolate chip cookie that's crispy yet slightly chewy? If so, you need to try this recipe! #chocolatechipcookie #cookies Ingredients 1 cup salted butter, melted 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar, packed 1/2 cup white granulated sugar 1 egg 1 teaspoon salt 2 cups AP flour 1/2 tsp baking soda 12 oz mini chocolate chips 2 cups plain ripple chips, crushed Directions Whisk together in a bowl, melted butter, light brown sugar and white granulated sugar. Whisk in egg and salt. Add flour and baking soda. Whisk your butter and sugars together. Whisk in one egg and a teaspoon of salt. I'm using this vanilla bean salt from AM Salts. You guys know I love this stuff. Two cups of unbleached all purpose flour. A half a teaspoon of baking soda. Whisk everything together. Fold in 12 ounces of mini chocolate chips. About two cups of plain rippled chips. You can use your favorite. These are clearly mine. Crush them up. They don't have to be finely crushed up. Just like that. Fold those in. I'm using a third of a cup measuring cup. Scoop it up, place it on a cookie sheet. I just like to add a few more crushed up chips right to the top so when they bake, you can clearly see there's potato chips in this. This is a step you cannot skip. These have got to go in your freezer for about 20 minutes before you put them in the oven. Preheat your oven. Mine is done. 350 degrees. I made a batch of these early, so I already have some that I just got out of my freezer. You're only gonna want to do three cookies per tray. I know it's kind of annoying, but it's worth it. You're gonna put these in a preheated 350 degree oven, set a timer for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, you're gonna remove the pan from your oven and do the same exact thing. I know annoying again, but it's necessary. After your timer goes off at 10 minutes, you're gonna remove the pan from your oven and you're just gonna, twice. Put them back in. These have got to cook for a total of 18 minutes. Every two to three minutes, they're gonna go in and do the same exact thing. I know annoying again, but it's necessary. Cookies are done. When you take them out, we're gonna let these cool for a good 10 minutes before we remove them to a cooling rack. The cookies are done. They're pretty much the size of my face. Let's break one open. Cheers. This cookie is crispy on the edges, yet still chewy in the middle. The crunch from the chips, the saltiness, it's just like the perfect combination. It's all I have for you guys today. We'll see you tomorrow.
