Overworking is dangerous for believers because it can get you results. You can go grind it out, man. Work your knuckles to the bone. And you'll get results. And that's a really big problem for believers. I'm getting results. The problem is, you'll give yourself the credit. You'll blow your shoulder out patting yourself on the back for all the great work you did. And you will forget that it is from him. Every good gift, every perfect gift comes from him. And you'll forget that the breath that you have in your lungs and the brain that you have is so powerful. That way that you can do this is only because of him. That's why waiting on the Lord is so powerful. That's why trusting in him with your time and your energy is so powerful. That's why going out on a date with your wife normally is so powerful. That's why being present with your kids is so powerful. And then when the results come, your first reaction, your knee-jerk reaction is not going to be to give yourself credit. It's going to be to give him credit. That's why it's so cool. And God is so gracious. He'll just give us something out of nowhere, even when we are grinding. And then we're like, oh wow, God. And we have no choice but to give him credit because we couldn't have planned it. But when we're working really hard, it's very difficult not to give ourselves credit.
