hey guys POWER BI + Fabric Back 2 Basics ep 5 Create a Power BI Project File (PBIP) aka a PBIP Microsoft's new way of storing Power BI reports and semantic models from our semantic model I'm gonna click on File Create New Report and that's creating a report in the cloud which we'll need to save im just going to call it school data report so now that that's saved im going to download the file and open up the report in Power BI Desktop which you will need to have installed on your computer you can also just open up a blank report in the desktop click on data get Data Power BI semantic models and select our school data semantic model I prefer the second method but they will both get you to the same place next we wanna make sure we have some preview settings enabled so we're gonna go to File Options and settings preview features and make sure you have the Power BI project save option on you'll probably have to restart your PBI desktop just FYI file save as school data report but we're gonna select the PBI file instead for the file type you can even see up here that it's a Power BI project file now so on the back end and the folder has more files in it everything stored in plain text versus one binary file we all know who loves plain text AI AI yes we are going to be vibecoding power bi reporting! stay tuned for next steps
