one of the fastest ways to grow your company: cost zero dollars, nothing to do with strategy, takes 5 minutes, starts with one person. I'm Adam and this is Biblical Business. Baby I'm drenched, living water flowing. Ain't no manifest I'm reaping what I'm sowing. Most leaders think people leave because of money or because the work is too hard. But a lot of people disconnect from businesses because they feel invisible. They feel like their effort goes unnoticed or their contribution is something that just becomes expected. Eventually, they start believing that the work that they're doing doesn't actually matter in the business. We're in the book of First Thessalonians chapter 5 and verse 11. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. This isn't that complicated. If you are in leadership, you wake up and you're thinking about the business and you think that people know what you're thinking all the time. Meanwhile, everybody in the business is busy doing their own work. The simple act of calling somebody and telling them that you're grateful for them can change the trajectory of your whole business. Here's what I want you to do. If you're watching this video and you love Jesus and you want to run your business as a steward for him, you have to understand that the people who work for you have been put in your care. And your job is to serve them, to serve them the way Jesus serves you, sacrificially. This isn't even that big of a sacrifice. I want you to close out the app. I want you to go over into either your text or your phone. I want you to call somebody at the company. Take 5 minutes and tell them two things. One, that you're grateful for them. And then two, specifically why. Because just saying thank you to somebody or just saying good job or an emoji, that's not good enough. Or an email that just says amazing work! That is the laziest way to recognize somebody. Pick up the phone, send them a voice note. If you have a phone, you go and you press voice note and you can record something nice and send it over to them. Just tell them you're grateful and appreciate them. That is the sort of spiritual discipline of encouragement that you can apply in your business practically and pragmatically, whether you're the CEO, the owner, or an operator in the business. Pick up the phone, call them and tell them thank you. Or some people don't like to take phone calls. Send them a voice note. If you have a phone, you go and you press voice note and you can record something nice and send it over to them. Just tell them you're grateful and appreciate them.
