There's not much I wouldn't do for my best friend So when she asked me if I could squeeze her niece, obviously I said yes. First of all, Sania is the sweetest angel I think I've ever met. I've literally never met a kinder child in my entire life. I wish she would come in here and get her hair done every single day. Second of all, I'm in a medium distance relationship with my best friend, Sari. So today was the best because I got to see her and kind of work with her because I did make her help me. And yes, before you ask, she is a hairstylist. But anyway, Sania had a great curly cut a few years ago, but they haven't cut her hair since then. Her parents have been very nervous to trust anyone, which is so understandable, and I was just so honored that they wanted to bring her to me. We did decide to wash and style her before cutting her hair. So one, I could show everyone where her damage was. But she had also just taken out braids literally the day before, so I wanted to make sure I was detangling everything out of her root before I was cutting anything. They do keep her in braids very frequently and they do slick her hair back. So her curls were a bit stretched out and she did have some breakage, but it wasn't too too bad. She definitely needs to cut a bit more off the length. But Dad didn't come to the appointment, and we wanted to make sure he's comfortable with everything. He was really nervous about this, so understandable. Curly hair trauma sucks. And I honestly just love how much he cares about her hair. Also, I taught Sari who defines Sania's coils. And for her first time, she freaking killed this. I also loved having an extra set of hands. This whole appointment was so fun and made my heart explode in the best way possible. I just loved everyone's energy and I loved how much Sania loves her hair and how much Sanias family loves and cares for her hair. Here you can see how uneven her hair is. She had a lot of breakage at the crown of her head from slicked ponytails and then the dead ends from not getting haircuts. So we snipped a bit of the length, and then we blended the breakage so much as possible. She asked for bangs, and everyone was so excited for that cut. And I'm sorry, is she not the most perfect ever? I literally cannot. She was feeling so good after this. Lip gloss queeeeeeen. She had her lip gloss and her purse. Oh, my god. I also love that she wanted her hair big. So I showed her how to pick out her root. We're just completely obsessed.
